Recreational Equipment, Inc. (206-395-5956) plans to open a 98,863 sq.ft. store in Seattle, WA in spring of 1996.  The two-story building will house five distinct outdoor gear specialty shops offering equipment and services and repair shops for bicycles and skis, as well as an outdoor equipment rental department on the first floor.  The second floor will house footwear, clothing and outerwear related to REI's outdoor specialty shops, repair services for outdoor equipment and clothing, a 100-seat cafe, a 250-seat presentation room, a children's play area and a trip planning center.  The site will also include a 65-foot high indoor rock climbing structure.

 

Walgreen Co. (708-940-2500) plans to open three stores in Colorado this year.  Each store is expected to be a 13,500 sq.ft. freestanding facility.  Walgreen's operates 2,025 units in 30 states.

 

Buyers and Sellers of Commercial Properties

 

First Washington Realty Trust plans to acquire Festival at Woodholme Shopping Center in Baltimore, MD for $14.8 million.  The closing is expected next month.
