Horizon Pharmacies Inc. (903-465-2397) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will sell 43 drug stores its an online and mail-order pharmacy. McKesson HBOC Inc. is providing a $2 million debtor-in-possession line of credit.

Saks Holdings Inc. (205-940-4000) will close its Saks Fifth Avenue store in White Plains NY in addition to another store in Palm Springs CA.

Supervalu of Minnesota (952-828-4000) closed 16 stores operating under the brand names Laneco and Food Lane in PA. The grocery store chain is rumored to be selling 10 of the locations to Giant of Carlisle and development company Building Development Associates.
