Shears Companies is developing the 400,000 sq.ft. Park Central Crossing in Port Arthur, TX. Eight restaurant pad sites are involved in the 60-acre development. The site is located on Highway 69 and FM 365 directly across from Central Mall. Anchors include Lowes Home Improvement and Wal*Mart Super Center. Area demographics include a population count of 161,247 residing in a 10-mile radius earning an average annual household income of $36,734. The average daily traffic count is over 100,000 cars.

Goldschmidt & Associates has begun construction on the 36,000 sq.ft. Route Six Shopping Center in Yorktown, NY. The center will include a 10,125 sq.ft. freestanding CVS Pharmacy and a 25,875 sq.ft. multi-tenant building. Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse leased 8,100 sq.ft. and a national convenience tenant is in negotiations for another 2,250 sq.ft. The center is located at the intersection of Route Six and Mohegan Avenue and is scheduled to open summer 2001.

Lee Jamieson is developing an expansion to Northwest Promenade in Bakersfield, CA that would increase the center’s size to 440,000 sq.ft. The center is anchored by Wal*Mart, Roadhouse Grill and Jack In The Box. Linen ‘N Things, Michael’s, Famous Footwear and Target have applied for building permits for the site along Rosedale Highway west of Coffee Road. Plans call for three restaurants and eight major tenants in the development.

Longview Development is redeveloping the 271,000 sq.ft. Thorndale Center in Thorndale, PA. The strip center is anchored by Giant Foods, Ames Department Store, Fashion Bug, Payless Shoesource and Dollar Tree and is located at the intersection of Lincoln Highway and Municipal Drive. Area demographics include a population count of 67,243 residing in a five-mile radius earning an average annual household income of $73,800. A space of 45,000 sq.ft. will be available Spring 2002 and numerous pad sites are available.

Regency Realty Corporation is developing Tanasbourne Center and Hillsboro Landing Center in Hillsboro, OR. The 46,968 sq.ft. Tanasbourne Center is anchored by Bed Bath & Beyond and Party City and is scheduled for completion in September 2001. The 159,000 sq.ft. Hillsboro Landing Center is anchored by a 58,000 sq.ft. Albertson’s and will include a fuel station.
