Regency Centers is developing a 100,000 sq.ft. shopping center on 19.55 acres at the intersection of Farm Road 423 and Farm Road 720 in Frisco, TX. Construction began last month and completion is slated for October 2003. An Albertson’s supermarket with a fuel center will anchor the center. The project’s second phase will be a big-box/power center with a home improvement anchor.

Pennrose Properties, Inc. and Renaissance Development Group, LLC are developing The Renaissance Gateway Project, a 138,000 sq.ft. neighborhood shopping center on 15.28 acres at the intersection of Route 27 and Franklin Boulevard in Franklin Township, NJ. The project is expected to open during Winter 2003. Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT is preleasing the center.

National Realty & Development Corp. is developing The Marketplace at Cinnaminson in Cinnaminson, NJ. The 325,000 sq.ft. community shopping center will be located at the intersection of U.S. Route 130 and Andover Road. Tenants will include a 142,000 sq.ft. Wal*Mart, a 133,000 sq.ft. Sam’s Club, an 18,000 sq.ft. Rag Shop, an 8,400 sq.ft. Fashion Bug, an IHOP restaurant and other retailers. Construction began during March and completion is slated for this Fall.

Mid-Northern Equities Management Ltd. is developing a 225,000 sq.ft. shopping center on U.S. 30 in Dyer, IL. Jewel-Osco will anchor the center. Completion is expected during Spring 2003. The next two phases of the development will include additional commercial space and a residential subdivision containing single and multifamily homes.

Trademark is planning to develop the first phase of a 400,000 sq.ft. open-air mixed-use development in The Woodlands, TX. Located on a 20-acre parcel, the center will include retail, office, restaurant and entertainment components, with the possibility of residential units. The center will feature a main street atmosphere with a landscaped central plaza, public art and an area for outdoor events. Possible tenants include Kohl’s, CVS, Petco, a hair salon, a tanning salon and a party supply store, as well as restaurants. CB Richard Ellis, Inc. is the exclusive agent for the project. The center is expected to open this year.

Taubman Centers, Inc. is developing Stony Point Fashion Park, a 690,000 sq.ft. open-air shopping center in Richmond, VA. The center will be anchored by an 80,000 sq.ft. Saks Fifth Avenue and a 204,000 sq.ft. Dillard’s. The mixed-use development will include up to 1.25 million sq.ft. of office and medical-service space, a 300-room luxury hotel and up to 400 apartments, townhouses and condominiums. Construction began during February and completion is slated for September 2003.
