Who's Opening & Where Mike’s Restaurants, Inc. (514-341-5544) is planning to open The Mikes and Le Coq Roti restaurants during the coming five years. The first restaurant in the U.S. is slated to open in Las Vegas, NV, with others to follow in AZ and UT. Approximately 20 restaurants will be opened throughout these states during the coming five years. Houlihan’s Restaurant Group (816-756-2200) is planning to open a 7,800 sq.ft. Houlihan’s restaurant on Route 1 South in New Brunswick, NJ during November. Area retail includes On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, Bennigan’s and Fuddruckers. The company currently operates nine Houlihan’s restaurants throughout NJ. Chipotle Mexican Grill (303-595-4000) is planning to open a 3,100 sq.ft. restaurant on the ground floor of an office building under construction at 401 North Front Street in Columbus, OH. The company currently operates eight restaurants in the Columbus area, including units at the Crosswoods Center and Easton Town Center mixed-use developments. Gordman’s (402-331-4200) is planning to open two stores throughout the Oklahoma City, OK. The company leased space in Centennial Plaza Shopping Center located at 3000 NW 59 and at 2201 West Memorial Road in the Quail Springs Shopping Center. The stores are slated to open in late October. The store on NW 59 will take over space formerly occupied by HomePlace, while the store on West Memorial will fill space formerly occupied by Target. (405-280-7654) is planning to open Sonic Drive-In restaurants in Ellenton, Bradenton, Arcadia and Venice, FL. The company currently operates approximately 2,500 locations nationwide. Total Entertainment Restaurant Corp. (316-634-0505) is planning to open 10 to 12 locations during fiscal 2003 and 12 to 15 locations during fiscal 2004.
