National Realty & Development Corp. is developing Rockaway Center, a center located at the intersection of Mount Pleasant Street and Interstate 80 in Rockaway, NJ. The center is anchored by Wal*Mart, Modell’s Sporting Goods and Bed Bath & Beyond. The center has spaces available of 4,200 sq.ft.; 10,000 sq.ft.; 19,000 sq.ft. and 51,000 sq.ft. Area demographics include a population of 99,540 within five miles earning $84,421 as the average household income. Opening is slated for Spring 2004. Area retail includes the Rockaway Townsquare Mall.

Windermere Partners is planning to develop a center located near Windermere Villages at the intersection of 96th Street and Mollenkopf Road in Fishers, IN. The company was planning to have a liquor store on the property.

CB Richard Ellis, Inc. is preleasing The Hub, a center located at the intersection of Tippecanoe Avenue and Interstate 10 Freeway in San Bernardino, CA. The center is anchored by Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Circuit City, PetsMart, OfficeMax, Sportmart, Best Buy and Costco. The site has an average daily traffic count of 206,084 vehicles. Area demographics include a population of 216,157 within five miles earning $48,000 as the average household income. The center is near Hospitality Lane’s “Restaurant Row.” The center has spaces available. Archon Group is planning to develop a three-building shopping center at the intersection of South Kimball Avenue, Texas 114 and Southlake Boulevard in Southlake, TX. The site was formerly occupied by Wal*Mart and sits on a land area of 16.5 acres. The Wal*Mart store will close this fall and a new 204,167 sq.ft. Wal*Mart Supercenter will be developed at the intersection of Texas 26 and Texas 114 in Grapevine. The proposed center in Southlake will be located between Dallas/Fort Worth Airport and Alliance Airport.

Hawkins Cos. is developing Main Street Market Place, a 140,000 sq.ft. center located at 1400 North Main Street in Logan, UT with an average daily traffic count of 53,827 vehicles. The center is situated on a land area of 15 acres and has spaces available of 15,000 sq.ft. to 20,000 sq.ft., as well as an outlot of 37,587 sq.ft. Opening is slated for October 2003. The center is anchored by Michaels, Staples, Ross and Pier 1 Imports and is cotenanted by Fazoli’s and Chili’s. Area retail includes Sam’s Club, Wal*Mart, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Shopko, Gart Brothers and Home Depot. Area demographics include a population of 78,210 within 10 miles earning $50,678 as the average household income.

Landstone is planning to develop a Kroger supermarket-anchored center on Gresham Road, north of Interstate 20 in Atlanta, GA. The center is situated on a land area of 12 acres. The Kroger will occupy a space of 62,000 sq.ft., while the center will have another 20,000 sq.ft. of space available. The cost of the center will be $10 million. The developer also is scouting several other DeKalb County locations for sites.

Pinpoint, a center located near the intersection of U.S. 98 West and Old Highway 11 in Hattiesburg, MS has preleasing opportunities. The $7 million, 70,000 sq.ft. building will have office space on the second floor, connected by an elevator to the ground floor, which is designated for restaurants and retail space. Up to three parcels of land separate from the main building also will be available for fast-food restaurants, banks and other businesses. Construction is slated for an August completion. A pharmacy has committed to move into the main building, while four other tenants are expected to sign leases soon. Mack’s Construction, co-owner of the property, will build out the site and occupy the top floor of the main building.
