Welco Realty, Inc. is preleasing a 100,000 sq.ft. center located on Route 17 South in East Rutherford, NJ. The center will be anchored by a 30,000 sq.ft. Marshalls and tenanted by Rag Shops, Kid City, Panera Bread, Baja Fresh, Casual Male, Work-N-Gear, Game Stop and Fabco Shoes. The center has space available of 5,000 sq.ft. Opening is slated for March 2004. The company also is preleasing Waynechester Plaza, a 56,000 sq.ft. center located on Route 23 in Wayne, NJ. The center will be anchored by a 24,000 sq.ft. Michael’s store. Opening is slated for Spring 2004.

Alberta Development Partners, LLC is planning to develop Southlands, a 1.5 million sq.ft. mixed-use center located at the intersection of East 470 and Smoky Hill Road in Aurora, CO. The center will feature town plazas, landmark clock towers, pop jet fountains, festivals, concerts, bistro restaurants and sidewalk cafes. Phase 1 of the project is slated for a Fall 2004 completion. The center also will contain 1,100 residential units and approximately 250,000 sq.ft. of commercial office space in its 301 acres.

USA, a 540,000 square foot retail and entertainment complex located near the Columbia Heights metro station at 14th and Irving Streets in Washington, DC. The center will be tenanted by a 169,000 sq.ft. Target, with interest from retailers such as Whole Foods, Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, Marshall’s, Borders Books and Music, World Market and Pier 1 Imports. Starbucks has expressed interest in a ground floor corner location for its first Columbia Heights store. Approximately 15,000 square feet has been set aside for local and neighborhood businesses. CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. is developing Coastal Grand Myrtle Beach Mall located along the U.S. 17 Bypass in Myrtle Beach, SC.
