Real Estate Professionals Making the News Sports Clips, Inc. (512-848-6767) named Greg Smith director of real estate. Smith, who was formerly the senior real estate manager for Sally Beauty Co., will assist in all aspects of real estate for the hair salon chain. With Sally Beauty, Smith was responsible for multiple territories across the Midwest and Northeast, as well as in Canada, locating and presenting locations for new stores. In his position with Sports Clips, Smith will assist the company’s area developers and team leaders with all real estate decisions. Sports Clips currently operates 128 stores throughout 18 states. The company expects to open more than 100 stores during the coming year. The Schultz Organization/TCN Worldwide (732-855-0001) appointed Ira G. Kerner as director in the retail division. Kerner will service clients in the retail sector by providing leasing and investment sales expertise. Before joining The Schultz Organization/TCN Worldwide, Kerner was a consultant and leasing agent at Felenstein Was & Associates in NY. Kerner also formerly worked on Wall Street for 13 years and holds licenses as a salesperson in both NJ and NY. He is a member of the ICSC. The Schultz Organization/TCN Worldwide is headquartered in Woodbridge, NJ, with an office in Roseland, NJ. The company offers services such as leasing, management, investment sales, development and consulting. Donahue Schriber (562-435-5727) named Charles B. Hickcox as vice president of development to head development and acquisition activity in the AZ markets. Hickcox will be based at Donahue Schriber’s Scottsdale, AZ office. He most recently served as executive vice president of Denro, Inc., where he was responsible for all acquisitions of commercial real estate in AZ and CA. A member of the State Bar Association of Arizona, Hickcox served as vice president and general counsel for The Barclay Group of Scottsdale, participating in acquisitions and tenant transactions, as well as providing legal counsel in the development process. His career also includes heading a Scottsdale-based real estate investment, management and development firm called The Feldman-Hickcox Co. He was president and co-owner. Hickcox also served as regional counsel for Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate in Phoenix. |
