Real Estate Professionals Making The News Seneca Properties (301-941-8000) hired Becky Lightman as a senior asset manager. Her responsibilities will include overseeing the leasing, financial, property and construction management of several improved commercial properties within the Seneca portfolio. She also will assist the company’s principals with ongoing development projects and acquisition analysis. Prior to joining Seneca, Lightman worked on several retail development projects in the Atlanta, GA area with Charles Wayne Properties.
Combined Properties, Inc. (310-205-9616) announced that David Horenstein has joined the company as director of leasing and development. Horenstein has seven years of commercial real estate experience with the company. He will be responsible for all leasing associated with development projects on the West Coast. He began his career with Insignia/ESG as a retail specialist where he negotiated and executed leases and LOIs that led to $8 million in lease value for The Plant, a 70-acre entertainment power center in Van Nuys, CA. In February 1999, he joined Regency Centers and focused on leasing the company’s core assets. During his tenure with Regency, Horenstein co-developed a 91,000 sq.ft. center in Wildomar, CA; managed and procured entitlements for 26 gross acres of retail in the county of Riverside, CA and analyzed over $500 million worth of retail that led to the acquisition of $45 million neighborhood shopping centers.
Rockwood Realty (212-286-5800) appointed Sophie Dagenais as general counsel and chief administrative officer and member of the Rockwood Management Committee. She will work out of the firm’s midtown Manhattan headquarters. She joins Rockwood with more than 15 years of finance, real estate and management experience. Prior to joining Rockwood, Dagenais was a partner at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLC. She is also a member of the American Bar Association.
NewBridge Retail Advisors (678-802-6500) named Eve A. Beasley vice president of transaction management. She will be responsible for overseeing due diligence and preparing assets for market readiness, resolving due diligence issues during the inspection process, and closing management. In addition, she manages relationships with due diligence vendors, providing additional solutions and services to the group’s clients. Prior to joining NewBridge, Beasley worked as a senior closing specialist for MortgageRamps.com, Inc., a subsidiary of GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corp. In this role, she was responsible for all aspects of due diligence management. Prior to that, she worked with GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corp., servicing commercial mortgage loan portfolios totaling approximately $2 billion.
Capital Realty Advisors, Inc. (561-624-5888) promoted Scott Hinterleiter to director of leasing. Scott has been employed with the company for seven years.
