The store will include two stories, each with 75,000 sq.ft. of space. Overall, the company is looking to open stores in Auburn, NY; Myrtle Beach, SC; Columbia, MO; Las Vegas, NV; Harrisburg, PA and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Dollar General (615-855-4000) is planning to open 20 Dollar General Markets this year. The market format focuses more on food than the company’s traditional dollar stores. The test stores are also larger than the 6,700 sq.ft. traditional stores, with 16,000 sq.ft. of space. The company currently operates two of the test stores in TN. Overall, the company is planning to open 675 traditional Dollar General stores this year.
