Real Estate Professionals Making The News Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT (305-215-3668) announced that Allan Cohen has been awarded the Bronze Circle of Distinction for his work at the company. Cohen has provided consulting and implementation services to shopping center developers and major retailers as president of his own international marketing/management consultant firm in Miami, FL and Toronto, Ontario, Canada for over 20 years.
Newmark Merrill Cos. (818-710-6100) promoted Brad Pearl to vice president of leasing and development. Pearl will continue to be responsible for overseeing all leasing activities for new and existing tenants throughout the entire company’s portfolio of over 40 properties, which are located mainly throughout southern CA and NV. With the promotion, Pearl also will oversee all NewMark Merrill development activities with almost one million square feet planned. In 1997, Pearl assisted in the formation of the NewMark Merrill Cos., as well as guided the formation of the leasing and acquisition team. He was responsible for forming and still leads the company’s retail leasing division with six other professionals and performs a direct role in the acquisition of every property.
