Colliers Seeley International (213-627-1214) appointed John M. Beaney to senior vice president of retail leasing and sales. Beaney will be responsible for formulating and implementing strategic market development plans for major retailers throughout the western U.S. He will work for the company’s Irvine, CA office. Prior to joining Colliers Seeley, Beaney served as senior vice president of the western region for Katz & Associates. In this position, Beaney formulated and implemented Linens ‘N Things’ initial entry into the western U.S., a project that resulted in more than 100 new stores in strategic markets. Prior to that, Beaney was a corporate real estate executive at Melville.

Katz & Associates Corp. (845-735-6666) promoted John Meyerdierks to senior vice president in charge of the western region. Meyerdierks will oversee all of the real estate activities for the company’s clients in the western U.S., including Linens ‘N Things, Cost Plus World Market, Levitz, Loehmann’s and Party City, along with numerous other retail chains.
