Real Estate Professionals Making The News Edens & Avant (803-779-4420) named Jason K. Tompkins as chief financial officer. He will have overall responsibility for the company’s capital markets, finance, accounting and technology activities. Tompkins joined Edens & Avant in May 2004 as vice president of finance and capital markets and previously served as vice president in Wachovia Securities’ Real Estate Investment Banking Group in Richmond, VA. Tompkins also served as a director in the real estate capital markets group of Andersen Corporate Finance, LLC in Washington, DC, and vice president of European Mergers & Acquisitions for GE Capital Real Estate in Paris.
