Real Estate Professionals Making The News Staubach Retail (800-944-0012) hired John H. Rehling as senior vice president. Rehling will be based in the company’s west region headquarters in Phoenix, AZ. For the past 20 years, Rehling was with D.L. Slaughter Co., a commercial brokerage firm in Phoenix, AZ, where he specialized in shopping center leasing. During his career, Rehling has been involved with over 30 million sq.ft. of shopping center development in centers ranging up to 1.2 million sq.ft. He has also assisted over a hundred retailers in their expansion throughout AZ. At Staubach, Rehling will specialize in leasing centers throughout the Phoenix metropolitan market. He also will be part of the newly formed leasing group that will build the business unit within Staubach’s western region. The company also announced that Steve Ewing has joined the company as vice president. Ewing brings 15 years of real estate experience in both tenant representation for national retailers and project leasing of retail and mixed-use centers. Prior to joining the company, Ewing was a member at Princeton Partners. While at Princeton, Ewing worked on The Centre at Preson Ridge in Frisco, TX; Denton Crossing in Denton, TX; Lake Worth Towne Crossing in Lake Worth, TX and Turtle Creek Crossing in Hattiesburg, MS.
McKinley (734-769-8520) promoted Jeffrey R. Kleinschmidt to CEO. Kleinschmidt has been with the company since 1999 and most recently served as executive vice president and corporate treasurer. Prior to joining McKinley, Kleinschmidt served in various management positions, from business development to senior loan officer and commercial business manager, with a regional commercial bank. He will continue to coordinate the company’s debt and equity placements, new business development, mortgage banking operations, as well as staying involved in local and national business affiliations.
Fameco Real Estate (610-834-8000) hired Karen Mikulski and Fred Younkin, both formerly of the Shopping Center Group of Virginia. Mikulski concentrated on landlord and tenant representation with the Shopping Center Group. Prior to that, she handled a leasing portfolio in excess of one million sq.ft. at Goodman Segar Hogan Hoffler (now Advantis GVA), which ranged from enclosed malls to strip centers. Younkin has an extensive background in landlord representation, tenant representation, tenant surplus disposition and sales.
Blue Ridge Capital (404-364-9094) hired Louise C. Jennings at director of leasing and construction for all the company’s properties. Jennings has 20 years of shopping center experience, including property management, redevelopment, construction and leasing at Centro Watt (formerly Kramont Realty Trust) in Atlanta, GA, as well as at two companies she founded JP Properties, Inc. in Atlanta, GA and Real Estate Southeast in Montgomery, AL. Jennings also worked for the Newton Company in Prattville, AL.
